Nature of results: Reports are informative and educational. They are not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat, or monitor diseases. Any health decisions should be validated in an accredited clinical setting. 3. Ancestry and traits: Ancestry estimates are probabilistic and depend on reference databases; regions with less representation may show lower resolution. Genetic ancestry is not equivalent to citizenship, legal identity, or documented genealogy. Traits are based on published associations and do not reflect the full complexity of the phenotype. 4. Hereditary conditions and residual risk: A "no reportable variants" result reduces but does not eliminate risk. Detection rates vary by gene, variant type, and ancestry. Variants may exist outside the methodological scope or may not have been described yet. 5. Pharmacogenetics: Pharmacogenetics describes how certain variants can influence drug metabolism or response. It does not solely determine efficacy or safety. Factors such as age, renal/hepatic function, comorbidities, interactions, and dosage are decisive. In some genes, identification of complex haplotypes, duplications/deletions, or hybrid alleles may require additional techniques not included. Do not change your medication without consulting your doctor. 6. Specific warnings (e.g., BRCA1 and BRCA2): • In Advanced, a specific set of variants is evaluated, which does not encompass all possible variants or all structural alterations. • In ULTRA, the complete gene is analyzed, and VUS may appear. The absence of findings does not exclude other variants that influence risk. • Any result should be clinically confirmed before making medical decisions. 7. Technical limitations: Although WGS 30x offers high coverage, there are regions and types of variants that are difficult to detect, such as: • CNVs and complex or balanced rearrangements; • repeat expansions (e.g., FMR1); • complex haplotypes (e.g., HLA), pseudogenes, low-complexity or high-homology regions; • low-fraction mosaicisms; • somatic variants (analysis is germline on saliva). In microarrays, analysis is limited to predefined markers; any imputation-based extension depends on reference methods and populations. Scientific evidence evolves, and variant classification may change over time. 8. Variants of uncertain significance (VUS): VUS are commonly found in ULTRA. Medical decisions should not be based on them until sufficient evidence or clinical confirmation is available. 9. Emotional impact and counseling: Genetic information can have an emotional impact. We recommend discussing results with your doctor and a genetic counseling professional. 10. Responsible use of data and external tools: If you download your raw data and use it on third-party services, interpretations may differ from tellmeGen's. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of external results or offer support for them. 11. Sample quality and re-runs: DNA quality and quantity, collection, and transport influence the validity of the analysis. If a sample is inadequate for reasons not attributable to the user, we may offer a re-run in accordance with the current policy visible on the platform before acceptance. 12. Report versioning: Report content and scope may vary by product version, methodological updates, or new evidence. The report date indicates the applicable version.
