No. The test does not tell you if you will develop a health condition: it estimates your genetic vulnerability, which is only one of the factors involved, along with age, environment, habits, and chance. In each report, we explain which lifestyle factors have been associated with that condition, so you can discuss them with your doctor. Our reports are predictive and informative: they are not a diagnosis.

Genetic vulnerability is your predisposition, according to your DNA, to develop a health condition. To calculate it, we combine the variants that scientific studies have associated with each condition and compare your result with a reference population: this way you know if your predisposition is lower, similar, or higher than the average. It does not indicate whether you will develop the condition, but rather how much your genetics weigh compared to those of other people.

Yes. Boys and girls can take the test. The kit can be bought or gifted by anyone, but only their father, mother, or legal guardian can register it, using their own data and consent, proving their representation with documentation before the sample is processed. The results are received by the father, mother, or guardian, not the minor, and include the same information as the report for an adult with the same product. Before contracting, keep in mind that they may reveal predispositions to adult conditions; you can keep these reports locked until your child can decide for themselves. Sample collection is simple and comfortable even for the little ones, including babies.

Your results are usually available between 4 and 6 weeks after the lab receives your sample. You will be able to view them in your private area from your computer, mobile, or tablet, and download them in PDF.

In Starter and Advanced we measure approximately 750,000 genetic markers, to which are added more than 10,000 selected by our scientific team, with internal quality controls that include marker repetition. In Ultra we sequence your entire genome with an average coverage of 30x and retain for review any sample that does not reach 20x. All our reports are based on published and peer-reviewed scientific studies. No genetic technique is infallible: the detection rate varies depending on the gene, the type of variant, and ancestry, and variants imputed by imputation are estimated, not directly measured. Yes. When you register your test, your data is associated with a code: neither the laboratory nor the analysis process accesses your personal data, and your genetic information is kept separate from your identifying data. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, with encryption and technical, physical, and organizational security measures, and we only use your data for research if you give your express consent.
