Hydrochlorothiazide (Adverse effects)

Hydrochlorothiazide is an antidiuretic widely used in the treatment of arterial hypertension. It has been observed that certain variants in the KCNJ1 and TCF7L2 genes could increase the risk of diabetes induced by treatment with thiazide diuretics.
